Configure Collection Verbosity

The verbosity of data collection in Datorios can be configured using pre-defined tiers or a custom list.

Pre-defined Tiers

Datorios offers three pre-defined data collection tiers:

1. Basic Insights (Green): Essential, high-level insights with minimal performance impact.
2. Diagnostic (Yellow): Detailed data for identifying potential issues, with moderate performance impact.
3. Debug (Red): Maximum detail for debugging, with high performance impact.

Custom Data Collection

Users can create custom data collection configurations:

• Selection Panel: Select or deselect metrics, logs, and tracing data using checkboxes.
• Performance Impact: Warning icons highlight metrics or logs with potential performance impact.
• Traces Dependency: Disabling tracing data will disable dependent features and prompt a warning.

How to Adjust Settings

• Pre-defined Tiers: Select a tier, and the selection panel will display its summary and data points.
• Custom Configurations: Search for specific items using the search bar.
• Saving Changes:
  • Click "Update Changes" to save your configuration.
  • If a cluster restart is required, you’ll see:
    "Your changes have been saved. Please initialize the cluster to apply the new configuration."
  • Options:
    • Restart Now: Restart immediately, interrupting all running jobs.
    • Restart Later: Save changes and restart later.
